|01:56 pm - BOOSH ICONS: Crack fox|
Icons of the crack fox, episode four.
All icons by request for LB, none for taking. But still pretty. Also, good quality screencaps from the episode.
Also, glynnis, what Boosh music did I say I'd upload for you? Or did you already get it somewhere else? I have more songs now, including from Ep3.
DO NOT TAKE THESE ICONS WITHOUT ASKING LB dark_safari!
On the BBC3 site:
The strange bottle in the back of the shop
Ack, those screencaps are scaring the bejeesus out of me! Also, did you notice a similarity between the speech of the Crack Fox and Old Gregg? Or am I crazy? Still...eep. Scary Julian!
I think you were going to upload "Married on the Morrow" and "Love Games" from the Jo Wiley show. I recorded the whole thing, but my computer doesn't have any editing software. :/ Thank you so much!
Thank you! I forgot what it was. Yes, I'll do that, in a new post. Plus, do you want the songs from ep 3? There's a real cracker - 'what's inside that counts'. FANTASTIC!
Those extra big screencaps are the biz.
Thanks! I snatched up the Ep. 3 songs from someone on LJ already. I'm such a scavenger. So far, my iPod has refused to play it for me, which makes me cross with it. Sometimes I question just how much it actually shuffles things. ;}
Great, thanks! I'll download them tonight. Also, I think my iPod is sentient, because it's now playing "It's What's Inside That Counts"! Aw, it's like Mr. Rogers (did/do they show Mr. Rogers in the UK?) on delicious crack.
No, I have no idea who Mr Rogers is/was. Wasn't he the name of one of the snakes in the Boosh as well? Or an impala?
had a children's show in the US for decades, and he always sang songs about how people should like you for "just your being you" and stuff like that. I hated him when I was a kid, but when I grew up, I appreciated his show a lot more. Except for the creepy puppets. Also, he had the unfortunate middle name of "McFeely".
I think the cobra was named Mr. Rogers. I'd thought that he was named after the TV Mr. Rogers, but I guess not.
McFeely! Hee hee hee!
How simple things amuse me.
McFeely has made me chuckle for years. Not only was it Mr. Rogers's middle name, but on his show, there was a mailman character called "Mr. McFeely"!! And he'd always stop by to deliver something to Mr. Rogers and then say, "I'd better be on my way... Speedy delivery!" McFeely + packages + "Speedy Delivery" = Big Heaping Pile of Wrong!
OMGZ I AM SO EXCITED YOU MADE ME CRACK FOX ICONZ!!!!!!!!!!! \o/
Too bloody right, don't anyone go nicking 'em because I'll be round to make you wear a little dress and hurt you...*said in sinister voice*
Am uploading them RIGHT NOW. I think I've found a new obsession. :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I was so nervous making them! Because I know how much you've been looking forward to the Crack Fox and I didn't want to cock it up. Don't hurt me!
Looking forward to seeing what your favourite icon is. When the full episode is out, I can make even more, of course.
PS I wasn't going to iconise the BBC3 promo image, because it wasn't such a good quality. But then I realised it had Julian blowing something, and strangely, I couldn't resist.
Julian + trumpets = yum.
Jazz Trumpet Fox! Although it is more of a hunter's HORN... :D
I love them all, but I suppose I like the profile one and the tummy shame ones best. "I'm-a-dunna-tummy-shame!" Fart gags are always good.
ALSO! Did you see the 'boob telephone' on the shelf, in the second to last screencap? BOOB BELLS.
Ha ha! You like the tummy shame! Though I'm not sure how much general usage an icon like that can get. It was a bit hard to iconise too, though the fart is a pretty pink.
Oh, I definitely saw the boob telephone. I was just ogling it again. Plus, and I can't believe nobody's mentioned it, in an early publicity shot of them in the shop, the one with Vince holding the skull, there's a flask behind which really looks like it has the label 'SPERM LOTION'. Unfortunately on zooming in (ahem, I did) it's something else.
I'll get that out and post it above too.
There's another shot too - on that Boosh pic on the Guardian Unlimited blog - that arouses interest. Is it me, or does Vince look like he's holding a tube of lube in his palm? :O
Ha ha, I thought he was just holding an iPod! But of course, your thoughts would turn to implements of bumming...
I think it's from a later ep, judging by the clothes. Guess we'll find out then.
