|08:32 pm - photos from my garden|
The magnolia tree in my back garden; my neighbour's cherry blossom behind.
Magnolia flowers in the evening sunlight.
The magnolia tree only blooms for a few short weeks. Already, the flowers have nearly all fallen.
But my neighbour's cherry blossom is at its peak.
Only one week before. The cherry blossom's pink flowers are just about to spring into bloom (the cherry blossom is the reddish tree behind the magnolia.)
---- My tiny front garden ----
Tulips, a red camelia bush and the privet hedge. The red umbrella is my neighbour's and marks the start of their garden next door. Yes, my garden is that really small.
The purple pansies that sit by my front doorstep. Come in after your garden wander and have a nice cup of tea!
Oh, they're lovely! I LOVE the smell from magnolia flowers!
Your camera is clearly a thousand times better than mine. The effect of those shafts of light is wonderful. Nice snaps! :)
I'll take that cup of tea with one sugar, please!
I got the camera for free. It's someone's old camera phone castoff which had a camera with a decent dpi on it, although I have to photoshop each and every bloody picture I take on it for colour balance because it doesn't do colour that well. I'd love to have my own proper digital camera some day.
I always try to take backlit photos. It's kind of my thing. I get all tingly every time I see sunlight filtered through leaves. Ooh, it's like seeing angels in the chlorophyll.
These are gorgeous.
Spring here brings such shiny colours - I went yesterday with a cam and did maybe fifty pics of closeups of flowers. Just so much colour.
I went to your journal to see if you'd posted any. Going to?
Might, some day soon. Tis much work. Plus I don't know yet what they ended up like.
